Pastor Moore recently celebrated his 15th anniversary as pastor here at the Gallatin Church of God of Prophecy. He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Pastor Moore attended school at Tomlinson College, Walter State Community College, and the Bible Training Institue becoming a licensed minister in 1972. He has served as pastor for over 46 years in multiple churches across Louisiana, Wisconsin, and Tennessee. He was ordained a Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy in 1981. Pastor Moore and his wife, Myrna, have been married over 47 years. Together they have three daughters and five grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and fishing.
Myrna Moore has been our First Lady here at the Gallatin COGOP for over 15 years. She serves as our Administrative Assistant and directs the Worship Ministry. Myrna often speaks of the many blessings and treasured friendships formed during their 46 years of pastoral ministry. In her spare time, she enjoys reading; singing; and spending time with her daughters and their families.
Shirlene Campbell joined the Church of God of Prophecy when she was 16 years old, and after 2 years she began serving in the local church in her hometown. She serves in many positions at our church including: Sunday School Teacher, Summer Camp and VBS Coordinator, and Praise Team Member. Shirlene has enjoyed being married to Everton Sr. for 37 years and seeing her 2 sons grow and mature in the Lord. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, sewing, and gardening. She also enjoys watching football, baseball, and basketball.
Jeff Jones came on board to co-lead our Men's Ministry at Gallatin in 2018. He is married to Kimmy and they have 2 children: Courtney and Jaden. Together, Jeff and Kimmy have served as Youth Pastors, Pastors, and State Youth Directors for the Church of God of Prophecy in Tennessee. They also serve as Camp Coordinators for Camp Hickory Hills. Jeff is an avid reader, loves college football, and watching The Office. He has been a school teacher in Sumner County for 20 years,and currently teaches business classes at Hendersonville High School.
Evan Jones was born and raised in Gallatin, and recently joined our staff to co-lead the Men's Ministry. He has attended our church his entire life, thanks to to the commitment and passion for Christ of his grandmother, Eunice Jones. Evan works as an Accounting Supervisor at Randy Jones Construction. When he is not working or serving at the church, you can find him on the nearest golf course or working on his health and fitness.
Evan Jones was born and raised in Gallatin and became our Youth Pastor in the Spring of 2020. He has attended our church his entire life, thanks to to the commitment and passion for Christ of his grandmother, Eunice Jones. Evan has a passion for our community here in Gallatin and for reaching the next generation for Jesus! Evan was a pitcher on the baseball team at both Gallatin High school and the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga, and is now involved with Full Count Ministries: an evangelism ministry that reaches the world for Christ using the game of baseball. He is also a big Georgia Bulldog fan- GO DAWGS!
Sonia Sweeney serves as our Nursery Director caring for our youngest children through age three, and is passionate about teaching children that Jesus loves them. Sonia and her husband have been married 35 years and have three sons. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and watching movies.
Janice Miller has been involved in the Church of God of Prophecy her entire life. This Nashville native and UT-Knoxville alum married her college sweetheart in 1975. She has been actively serving the church in several teaching and administrative assignments for over 40 years. Janice has also served in numerous management roles primarily in the banking and insurance industries for 30 years. In her free time, Janice loves to entertain with family and friends
Lance Snyder has been serving In our audio and video department since 1982. During his time at Gallatin, he has served as Youth Director, Sunday School Superintendent, and more for the last 40+ years. Lance married his wife, Gracie, in 1975 and they have a daughter and 2 grandchildren. He has a certificate with the Recording Institute of America, is a licensed electrician, and is currently serving as the Head of Software Engineering for CE, LLC. In his free time, he enjoys being a representative for The Gideon International and spending time with his family.
David Thompson has been serving on our team since 1987 and was the Youth Director from 2008 to 2011. He currently serves in the audio/video department and teaches a Wednesday Night Bible study. He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 31 years and have a daughter named Caitlyn. David works as an IT/Technician for the Water Utilities Department in Bethpage and Castilian Springs, and has a Grade 2 Water Distribution License. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports of all kinds and working on cars.
